These views were expressed by Deputy Commissioner Lahore Sumair Ahmed Syed while chairing a meeting of District Polio Eradication Committee at Nadir Hall on Thursday.
The meeting was attended by Health Authority Lahore CEO, assistant commissioners, deputy district officers, representatives of United Nations Children Fund and World Health Organisation.
The Health Authority CEO briefed about arrangements and training of polio teams on which Sumair Ahmed Syed said that all arrangements had been completed. He directed the officers concerned to properly focus on “Not Attendant” and “Zero Dose” children. Syed appealed to the citizens to coordinate with polio team’s visiting their houses for the administration of polio vaccine. Moreover, he also directed police officers to depute police personnel for the strict security for polio teams.
