Lecture on ‘Current situation of Madarssas in Pakistan and their Future’ held at SALU

KHAIRPUR: Institute of Islamic Studies, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur organized an extension lecture on “Current Situation of Madarssas in Pakistan and their Future” presided over by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yousuf Khushk, Dean, Faculty of Arts and Languages. Prof. Dr. Aamir Tehseen, Chairman, Madarsa Education Board, Pakistan delivered the lecture. Addressing to the participants, Prof. Dr. Amir Tehseen, said at present approximately 36000 Madarsas are working, and approximately the data of 22000 Madarsas is available where in remaining Madarsas are not registered. He suggested that all the seminaries may be registered having uniform syllabus pertaining to religious and contemporary education. Dr. Aamir said it is high time that religious harmony may be promoted so the security apparatus of the state may be strengthening and the betterment & welfare of the people could be attained. He added. Prof. .Dr. Muhammad Yousuf Khushk said, the Institute of Islamic Studies is striving for the promotion of the research culture and sizeable numbers of research scholars are embarking research work on the various aspects of the teaching, philosophy, values and ethics of Islam. Earlier Dr. Sajjad Ali Raeesi, Coordinator, M. Phil and PhD program welcomed the guest speaker and shed light on the achievements institute. He said Islam is the religion of tolerance and Brotherhood and its message is universal peace and harmony. A large number of scholars and students attended the lecture programme.
