Liverpool not worried about lack of signings: Klopp

BIRKENHEAD: Liverpool football team manager Jurgen Klopp says he is satisfied with the club’s transactions in the transfer market on Thursday, despite having signed only two players.

The reds have thus far signed Egypt national Muhammad Salah from AS Roma and Englishman Dominic Solanke from Chelsea, as they look to bolster their options before the new season begins.

Speaking to a pre-season press conference, Liverpool boss said that their club signings are not subject to transfer negotiations of rival clubs.

“We cannot buy players only because other teams buy players. We do business as good as we can do it. If we make transfers, it’s because we want to do it” he said.

The 50-year-old further added that there is no need to panic, as there remains plenty of time before the transfer period ends on August 31.

“We are completely in it and we are convinced about the way we are doing it. Nervous fans, I don’t have to write a message for this. We have until the 31st of August. We have time and some things need time.” the coach added.

Liverpool kicked-off their pre-season with a dominant victory over English National League side Tranmere Rovers 4-0, hoping to continue this form throughout the next season, particularly in their UEFA Champions League qualifying double header in August.
