SAU China signs MoU with Arid University

ISLAMABAD: A delegation from Sichuan Agriculture University (SAU) China visited Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) on Monday and also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for bilateral collaboration in research and academics, especially in agriculture discipline.

The PMAS-AAUR Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Sarwat N Mirza and SAU Vice President Professor Yang Wenyu signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions. Deans/directors from PMAS-AAUR also participated in the ceremony.

Under the MoU, both universities agreed to develop academic cooperation in various fields and decided to initiate collaborative activities in academic areas of mutual interest such as exchange of faculty, students and expertise, conducting collaborative research and research projects as well as sharing of academic information and materials. On the occasion, Dr Sarwat N Mirza gave a detailed presentation on the on-going activities and new initiatives of PMAS-AAUR.
