LAHORE: Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Monday said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would once again triumph in the 2018 general elections.

Talking to media, Sanaullah said that the public would re-elect Nawaz league to power in 2018 general elections because of the party’s ‘outstanding performance in all sectors’.

He added that the public ‘adores’ former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and that they would vote for his party.

Taking a jibe at party opponents, Sanaullah said that those conspiring against PML-N and Nawaz Sharif to keep the former PM out of the political landscape would face a ‘crushing’ defeat in the upcoming elections.

He also said that Nawaz’s popularity graph has risen since his ouster from the premiership.

Lauding Nawaz, the law minister said that in the former PM’s leadership, Pakistan has seen infrastructural developments and improvements in the country’s energy sector. He added that the country is on a ‘smooth economic trajectory’.

The minister said that success of PML-N in recent Senate elections is a positive indication of the party’s performance in coming general elections.
