DADU: The custodian of Hazrat Qalandar Lal Shahbaz Shrine Syed Wali Muhammad Shah has warned that if the security of the shrine is not be increased, he would issue a protest call all across Sindh.

Addressing a press conference at his residence in Sehwan city on Sunday along with other caretakers of the shrine, Shah said even before the suicidal blast at the shrine, he informed the police and Auqaf Sindh officials about the security lapse, but they didn’t listened to him. “Even after the blast, the authorities are providing required security at the shrine,” he added.

Shah further said that the authorities have closed the Golden Gate and devotees are entering into the shrine from other gate. “Auqaf official are taking bribe from the visitors to let them enter into the shrine, which is a shameful act,” he alleged.

He said that Qalandar Lal Shahbaz shrine and other shrines in Sindh have no proper security, which is a matter of concern.

“If government authorities failed to provide security to Qalandar Lal Shahbaz shrine and others of Sindh, I would call a meeting of custodians of all the shrines of Sindh and we will issue a joint call of protest across Sindh,” he warned.

He also demanded, that besides providing the security of the shrine, Sindh government must pay the compensation money to the families of victims of Sehwan blast.
