SAHIWAL: Police have booked and arrested their colleague for allegedly raping a woman in Sahiwal. Police said the accused raped the woman after promising her a job. A police official said the case against the suspected rapist had been registered and he had also been taken into custody. Further investigation into the allegations of sexual abuse against the cop is underway, he added. Meanwhile, in another case of sexual abuse, an 11-year-old boy was allegedly assaulted and raped in Sukkur. A member of the victim’s family said the boy has been admitted to Civil Hospital Sukkur in critical condition. The accused lured the child on the night of February 25 from a local market and subjected him to sexual assault. The local police are awaiting the report of medical examination of the victim to register the case under relevant charges. However, the police have yet not made any arrest.
