Regarded as first female superstar, 54-year-old Bollywood diva passed away on Saturday night leaving everyone shocked. Even though she is not among us anymore, she has left a mammoth legacy – the grandeur of which spanned across 4 decades – to remember her by. Her reinvented ‘comeback’ with English Vinglish in 2012 made her current and hugely popular among those millennials as well who are otherwise cynical of traditional Bollywood.

The queen of Bollywood starred in over 275 films – the first one of which was at the age of 4. Other than Hindi films, she has also performed in Indian regional languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

Sridevi wasn’t just an extremely gorgeous woman, she was blessed with versatility in talent. This allowed her to perform in films from diverse genres including thriller, comedy, drama, action, suspense and romance.

Other than the title of being the first female superstar of Bollywood, the timeless beauty adorned many other titles. The most prominent of which are Padma Shri by the government of India, ‘timeless beauty’ by Vogue, ‘India’s greatest actress’ by Indian English language news network CNN-IBN and ‘national treasure’ by another Indian English language news network NDTV.

Her legacy includes several evergreen Bollywood and regional films and hundreds of super hit songs. Here’s our list of the ten evergreen songs from Sridevi’s films that we think many will remember her by.
