Five Afghans held during search operation in capital

ISLAMABAD: At least five Afghan nationals were nabbed during a search operation by security forces in the federal capital.

Sources said that police and security forces carried out search operations in different areas of the capital including Sharifabad, Ghori Town and Kraal and nabbed five Afghan nationals on incomplete identity documents charges. Three rifles, 9mm and 222 pistols were also recovered from their possession.

Police have shifted the suspects to an undisclosed place for further interrogation.

Abducted: Two girls were allegedly abducted from different areas of the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

According to media reports, Nazir, father of the victim lodged a complaint with Civil Lines Police that a suspect, Bilal Malik, had kidnapped his daughter S*, aged 18. Meanwhile, Bilqees lodged a complaint with Kalar Syedan Police that her daughter F*, aged 30, was abducted by one Ishtiaq.

Police have registered separate cases and started investigations.

Mishap: A four-year old baby girl was killed and a man was wounded in a road mishap within Chauntra Police jurisdiction. Amir Iqbal told the police that his brother, Ansar Mehmood, along with his daughter was on the way riding a motorcycle. In the meantime a speeding trailer hit them.

Consequently the four-year old baby girl named Hoorine died on the spot and Ansar Mehmood sustained severe injuries.

He was taken to the hospital by the people present at the time of accident. The unidentified tractor trailer driver managed to flee after the accident.

Police have registered a case and started interrogations.

Stolen: A man was deprived of his car within the jurisdiction of Aabpara Police.

According to media reports, Mubeen, a doctor by profession lodged a complaint with the local police that some unidentified suspects made away with his car, bearing registration number ND-467, which was parked in front of his home.
