Unidentified assailants kill Khasadar official

KHYBER AGENCY: Unidentified armed persons riding on motorcycle shot and killed a Khasadar on late hours of Sunday night here in Malakabad, Bypass Road of tehsil Jamrud of Khyber Agency.

The Assistant Political Agent (APA) Jamrud, Ziaurrehman Marwat said that the Khasadar soldier, Abdul Shakoor was on his way to home in Malakabad after performing his official duty when he targeted. The killers managed to escape after committing the crime, the official said.

Following the incident, immediately the administration officials rushed to the site, cordoned off the area and shifted the body for legal-medico formalities. The APA said that four suspected persons had been detained and with immediate effect motorcycle riding had been ban in Jamrud. He added that more than hundred motorbikes had been impounded. It was second target killing on Khasadar in one week in tehsil Jamrud, Khasadar Force official said.

Meanwhile, a retired Frontier Corps official was murdered by an armed person on Monday here in Shahgai, Mulagori area of tehsil Jamrud, Khyber Agency. The Jamrud political administration told that FC retired subedar Khudin Mulagori was killed in firing by his own tribal colleague, when he was passing through Shahgai bazaar.

The forces launched hunt operation in the area and arrested an allegedly killer, Rafique and was shifted to forces cantonment for interrogation, sources informed.
