Former FC official killed in Khyber Agency

JAMRUD: A retired Frontier Corps (FC) Subedar was killed and two serving FC personnel sustained injuries when unidentified armed motorcyclists opened fire on them in Mullagorisub-tehsil of Jamrudin Khyber Agency on Monday, officials said.

Retired Subedar Aao Din of FC and Hawaldars Aman Ullah and Nawaz Khan sustained injuries. Security forces and Khassadar personnel reached the spot and shifted the victims to hospital. Local sources said that the retired subedar also hadan enmity in his village. Meanwhile, a Khassadar man killed Sunday night was buried in his native graveyard on Monday. Unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle gunned down Abdul Shakoor near Jamrud bazaar when he was on his way home after duty. Political Agent Khalid Mehmood, APA Jamrud Zia Ur Rehman Marwat and others participated in the funeral prayer .
