DG Khan bans modern beard styles

MULTAN: The District Council of Dera Ghazi Khan has passed a resolution imposing a ban on growing beard in different styles.

The resolution says that such styles which include French beards, a goatee and chin strips, etc go against the teachings of Islam and are actually against the Sunnah.

New building for a girls’ primary school

Cleaning of the lower Manika Canal

Establishment of secretariat in Multan or DG Khan

DG Khan’s Deputy Commissioner has been made incharge of ensuring that this ban is carried out and the youth is halted from indulging in this trend.

It’s equivalent to making “fun of the beard”, the resolution concluded, which was chaired by Asif Khosa. He made it clear that awareness needs to be spread about what is wrong in pursuing such trends.
