Other parties to witness PML-N’s strength in 2018 elections: Shehbaz Sharif

LODHRAN: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday claimed that every other party in Pakistan would witness the strength of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will the citizens would disown other parties in the upcoming 2018general elections.

He said that the loud cheers in the crowd were proof of Prime Minster (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s rising popularity.

While addressing to a rally in Lodhran, Shehbaz said, “The change will only be witnessed under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership. ‘Other political parties’ claim that they would change Punjab if given an opportunity, I ask them to clean Karachi first then talk about Punjab.”

The CM claimed that his government in the province had spread a network of projects in South Punjab as well, adding that they would complete all projects within months. He said that he had spent his days and nights in South Punjab during floods.

He also talked about the PSL final in Lahore, calling it a huge hit. “Some leaders opposed the final, they also criticised Metro bus. But now they’re starting the same transportation project in Peshawar.”

Shehbaz Sharif announced to launch a clean water project for 37 tehsils of South Punjab along with promising to end the load shedding by 2018. “We will provide loans worth Rs 100 billion to the small-scale farmers,” he added.
