Imran criticizes Saad Rafique after Sheikhpura accident

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the Sheikhupura train accident and prayed for the early recovery of the injured.

He lashed out at the government over the loss of precious lives and their role towards the continuous train accidents, terming it embarrassing and disappointed.

He questioned the government’s performance saying what can be expected from a government who cannot secure merely crossing points.

“Railway minister has nothing to do with the matters of its own ministry. He only criticizes others and serves the Sharifs. He either threatens the nation with ‘lions’ or ridicule the judges,” said Imran.

Imran Khan pronounced that Saad Rafique is more concerned of saving the corruption of Prime Minister’s family than safeguarding peoples’ lives.

He asserted that they will not accept the bid to save the actual accused, while blaming the accident on a small employee.

“A responsible railway minister would have resigned, but who would teach morality to ministers when the prime minister (PM) himself is stubborn,” remarked the PTI chief.
