ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ayesha Gulalai, after waiting a long time, has announced her own political party called PTI-Gulalai on Friday.

Addressing a press conference, Ayesha Gulalai strongly expressed her views against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and said that Sharif wanted to wage a civil war in the country.

“After disqualification from SC, Nawaz Sharif has lost his popularity across the country including Punjab,” Gulalai said, adding that the entire nation will stand with the judiciary against Sharif’s movement for justice.

Lashing out the Pakistan People’s Party, she said that the leaders of PPP were giving their personal interests preference over the interests of the nation.

She had announced to quit PTI in August after leveling allegations of harassment and corruption against the PTI Chief Imran Khan. Relations between Gulalai and the party leadership have since turned sour.

MNA Gulalai also announced that her new party will support parliamentary form of democracy in the country.

She said that the manifesto of her party, PTI-G, would also envision judo karate training for women.

Gulalai, who announced the name of the new party in December, has still not officially resigned from Imran Khan-led PTI. A reference by Imran Khan to eject her from the party was rejected by the Election Commission of Pakistan.

Gulalai also said that her party will strive for bringing looted money back to the country.

Expressing her disgust over PML-N, she said the party had made the Parliament its “slave”.

“PML-N is going to be banned now that their leader has been disqualified,” she said, adding that PML-N ministers should be sent to jail.
