Drug conspiracy unearthed

Author: Daily Times

Sir: A report by the police regarding an anti-drug operation in Chanesar Goth has revealed a conspiracy to profit from drug peddling in which law enforcement agencies and the excise department are involved.

The report states that drug crime in Chanesar Goth has only been brought under control after action was taken against dozens of police officials ranked from constable to DSP. It has been discovered one police station in particular had deep connections with several notable drug lords. The narcotics supply line was also severed only after it was discovered that excise officials were operating it. The report also mentions that there are certain political forces encouraging drug peddling in the area.

This report has exposed the extent of corruption and moral stagnation in our law enforcement, bureaucracy and political arena. One can’t help but wonder how the law and order situation in the country will improve if it is the authorities themselves who are involved in crime. The law enforcement officers who exposed this deep web of corruption and deceit deserve a commendation.
