Acting IG asks for detailed report of outcomes on a quarterly basis

PESHAWAR: The Acting Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Syed Akhtar Ali Shah has directed police high ups to regularly furnish a detailed report of their outcome on quarterly basis to CPO.

These directives were given to all Regional Police Officers and District Police Officers in a special circular issued from CPO today.

The circular further read that protection of life, honour and property was the prime responsibility of the police force and every effort should be made to maintain peace and tranquility in the society.

The police officers have been directed in the circular to submit a detailed report of their performance against all crime to the CPO on quarterly basis so that further line of action can be adopted in light of the report.

They were further directed to lead the force from the front and tighten the noose around the neck of militants and criminals.

They were also directed to further polish, patronize and guide the police at police station level, remove thana fear from the minds of the people and keep the people along with them by developing community policing.

They were also directed to avoid burking and ensure timely registration of all sorts of crime and present the under trial cases in the courts well-in-time.

They were also directed to weed out corruption from all ranks and let make an example of the black sheep and this will serve as deterrence for others.

They were also directed to depute a focal person in every DIG office to response to the directives of the CPO well in time. It has been made clear in the circular that their performance would be evaluated on quarterly bases and those showing poor performance against the out laws and anti-social elements would be taken to task and those who exhibiting outstanding performance would be encouraged properly.
