ISLAMABAD: Information and Broadcasting Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb on Monday credited former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s vision and political insight for helping in elimination of terrorism from across the country.
Speaking to the media, Marriyum said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz, through his political wisdom, helped the authorities to implement policies which lead to elimination of terrorism from Pakistan.
The lawmaker also lauded security forces for their valiant efforts in countering extremism, adding that no compromises would be made in the country’s war against terrorism or in efforts to establish peace in Karachi.
She added that elimination of terrorism will ensure development of Pakistan’s sports industry as more and more avenues will open for aspiring athletes countrywide.
Lauding the media, Marriyum emphasised on its importance within a society, while also highlighting the industry’s role in promotion of democracy and democratic values in the country.
Speaking about the federal government projects, the information and broadcasting minister said that PML-N-led government has not only announced projects, it has completed them too. She added that ‘historic’ health and education initiatives will soon be launched by the governing party.
The PML-N leader also congratulated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on occasion of his marriage with Bushra Maneka and wished the party frontman a ‘peaceful’ life ahead.
