ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Privatization Daniyal Aziz has on Monday been issued a show-cause notice by Supreme Court of Pakistan in the contempt of court case.

Daniyal Aziz had been issued a contempt notice on February 2 and upon appearing before the court on February 7, he had been granted 10 days by the apex court to finalize a legal counsel.

Footages from three TV channels had been cited by the court in which Daniyal Aziz was allegedly criticising the court verdict in Panama case.

While talking to media outside the court, Aziz had maintained that he had spent all his life honouring the courts and had never intended to disrespecting them.

He had added that his hands, as well as heart, were clean and therefore felt confident about his case.
