CJP requested to ‘sympathetically’ consider Sharjeel Memon case

Karachi: Sindh Minister for Information, Labour, Transport and Mass Transit Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar to sympathetically consider the case of former provincial information minister Sharjeel Inam Memon regarding his shifting from the Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre to the Karachi Central Jail Karachi. Syed Nasir Hussain Shah said that the medical board was constituted on the directives of the National Accountability Court. He said that the medical board after thoroughly medical examination had advised him for immediate operation. Syed Nasir Hussain Shah quoting the medical board report said if operation was not done immediately, Sharjeel Memon would turn disable. “Medical board had recommended the South City Hospital and Jinnah hospital for his immediate operation.” The Supreme Court may kindly consider his illness on humanitarian grounds and reconsider its decision for shifting Sharjeel Inam Memon from the hospital to CENTRAL JAIL,” he concluded.
