GDA leaders will be elected in upcoming elections: Pir Pagaro

DADU: The Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) held a public rally in Moro Town on Sunday.

The rally was addressed by former Sindh home minister Sindh Zulifiqar Mirza, former Sindh chief minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim, federal ministesr, NPP leader, Murtaza Jatoi, Irfanullah Murawat, Syed Ghous Ali Shah, Safdar Abbasi, Nusrat Sahar Abbasi and Syed Syed Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi, also known as Pir Pagaro

In his address, Pir Pagaro said that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan People’s Party Co-chairman Asif Ali Zaradi were not even capable of being elected as councillors.

He said that former prime minister had unleashed an anti-army and anti-judiciary agenda after his disqualification.

Criticising both the PML-N and the PPP, he said both the parties had destroyed state institutions.

He said that it was a misconception that GDA leaders had not been elected as local body representatives. He said that the GDA leaders would clinch victory in upcoming general elections.

Referring to Lodhran by-election, he said that the PPP had lost Punjab as its candidate secured the lowest votes as compared to candidates of other parties.

He said that as the PML-N had no vote bank in Sindh that was why it neglected the province in uplift schemes.

Heaping praise on the Pakistan Army, he said that army and paramilitary forces had eradicated terrorism from the country. Leader of Qaumi Awami Tahreek Ayaz Latif Palejo said that people of Sindh wanted equal rights. They want such a province in which rights of minorities are also ensured. He said that people were waiting for the day when they would get rid of Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif.

Former Sindh home minister Dr Zulifiqar Mirza said that he would not compromise on basic issues of Sindh and Sindhis. He said that he would continue his struggle for Sindh.

Senior politician Syed Ghous Ali Shah said that the GDA was united and it would clinch victory in upcoming elections.
