Asma remembered

Lahore: In a condolence message issued on Wednesday, SZABIST president Shahnaz Wazir Ali said that Asma Jahangir was a brave and a fearless woman who never compromised on principles even in the face of the might of ruthless dictators.

“Asma stood her ground for democracy, social justice and the rights of the people. She towered above all others as a human rights crusader, and a lawyer of the highest integrity and repute. Her loss has left us all bereft. She has left a void that will be impossible to fill for a long time,” said Wazir Ali, a former MNA elected on the ticket of Pakistan Peoples Party.
