67 officials of Islamabad police promoted to higher ranks

ISLAMABAD: A total of 67 officials of Islamabad police have been promoted to the ranks of inspector, sub-inspector and assistant sub-inspector, following recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee, a police spokesman said on Wednesday. A ceremony to handover the badges to the police officers was held at Police Line Headquarters, Islamabad. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr Sultan Azam Temuri along with other officers handed over the badges to the promoted officers. Those who have been elevated to the rank of inspector include Muhammad Azam, Inayatur Rehman, Sanab Gul, Laiq Wali Shah, Muhammad Akram Zahid, Sajjad Hussain Shah, Kazim Hussain, Ameer Ahmed Khan, Walayat Khan, Shahid Mehmood, Said Muhammad and Noor Jamal. Officials promoted from assistant sub-inspector to sub-inspector are Muhammad Nawaz, Ali Asghar, Ajmal Nawaz, Faiz Jallani, Muhammad Banaras, Ghulam Mustafa, Abdul Aziz, Muhammad Wazir, Ghulam Raza, Fida Hussain, Tasneem Iqbal, Qamar Abbas, Khalid Javed, Aqal Badshah, Muhammad Arshad, Nawaz Ahmed, Riaz Ahmed and Fida Muhammad while those promoted from the position of head constable to ASI include Ghulam Abbas, Zubair Ahmed, Ijazur Rehman, Muhammad Arshad, Abdul Qayyam, Momin Khan, Muhammad Zulfiqar, Ahsanullah, Muhammad Ijaz, Ishfaq Ahmed, Sultan Mehmood, Ameer Mukhtar, Shahid Hussain, Mazhar Hussain, Muhammad Razzaq, Zaheer Ahmed, Haq Nawaz, Naseer Ahmed, Muhammad Arif, Azhar Mehmood, Amir Abbas, Sabir Khan, Muhammad Akram, Muhammad Qaisar, Ali Akbar, Abid Mehmood, Akbar Ali, Tauqeer Ahmed, Muhammad Anwar, Mushtaq Ahmed, Safdar Ali, Saeed Akhtar, Abdul Sattar, Riasat Ali, Zafarullah, Muhammad Ishtiaq and Afzal Mehmood.
