Three NSUSC workers die due to suffocation in Sukkur

KHAIRPUR: Three workers of North Sindh Urban Service Corporation (NSUSC) Sukkur died, one went unconscious due to suffocation on Thursday. According to detail during the cleaning of a gutter line at New Goth three workers of the North Sindh Urban Service Corporation (NSUSC) Hakim Ali Jogi, Gulzar Ali Shaikh and Irshad Jogi died while another worker, Javed Jogi became unconscious. On receiving the information hundreds of workers reached there, while the bodies were shifted to civil hospital Sukkur for legal formalities and the unconscious worker was brought to hospital for treatment. Mean while workers strongly protested in front of Sukkur Press Club against NSUSC, Municipal Corporation Sukkur and set tires alight. Addressing the protest, workers leader Saleem and others alleged the deceased were appointed for little work and they were untrained for the cleaning of gutter lines. They said Deputy Mayor Tariq Choohan and Municipal officers were responsible for the deaths.
