Under the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board, the Chinese company assigned contract for garbage disposal to the districts of South and East and the work has been commenced. Sindh Government would provide millions of rupees grant to the Chinese company, in this regard, he informed. Under the law, the provincial government is providing OZT share to six districts and one District Council of Karachi and OZT share has also been increased, he pointed out.

“Unfortunately, during the last term of Karachi City Nazim, there are so many people were recruited on political basis and of these a large number of workers were ‘Ghost Employees’ burdening financially to the districts” he remarked. These powers-mongers are actually responsible for the injustices done to the people of Karachi and responsible for illegal appointments, worst conditions of sanitation across the city, cleaning, garbage disposal and roads morass, Shoro concluded.
