The president said this while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the 1st International Deans Conference of Engineering Institutions organised by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
The president stated that during the last few decades, the country had to face various problems including terrorism which caused a debilitating impact on the economy and increased unemployment.
He said the situation also affected the people associated with the profession of engineering and he underlined that now there was a change in circumstances. He emphasised that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was not only beneficial for Pakistan and China but for the entire region.
He underscored that it was an age of connectivity and its latest manifestation had emerged in the shape of CPEC.
