Horrific accident claims the lives of 7 while 19 are injured

Gujranwala: Seven died while 19 were injured as a result of a bloody collusion between a bus and a van here at Wazirabad, Gujranwala. It was reported that a passenger bus was going to Rawalpindi when near Wazirabad it collided with a van. Irfan, Muhammad Zrat, Pervez Akram, Muhammad Rafi, Abdul Raheem, Ashraf and driver Qamar died on the spot while Mehak, Noman, Abbas, Ashraf, Naseem, Akhter, Shahzad and others received injuries and were rushed to DHQ hospital by rescue 1122 teams.

FIR’s filed against Solid Waste Management officials: Cases against seven Solid Waste Management officers have been registered by the anti-corruption department for involvement in embezzlement of millions of rupees. Regional director anti-corruption Fareed Ahmed stated that after enquiries allegations leveled against former MD solid Waste management Atta ul Haq, senior manager operation Rana Murad Ali Khan, chief finance officer, manager workshop and others was proven and after approval from the competent authority FIRs against the said officers have been got registered. All the said officers were involved in embezzlement of about 80 million rupees in the name of purchase of vehicles, machinery, petrol and other items.
