Larkana Union of Journalists to work for community

SHIKARPUR: Larkana Union of Journalists [LUJ] announced to organize a union for welfare of the journalists in order to reduce victimization and their troubles in the region, on Thursday.

The journalists of Sindh especially interior Sindh face dire consequences, severe hardships and are being victimized by their rivals despite fulfilling their duties with full spirit and without any fear. This was said by LUJ leader Sarkash Sahayo during a journalists’ gathering held at Shikarpur Press Club to form a district level body of the journalists. He announced Rahmatullah Soomro(Patron), Sultan Rind(President), Iqbal Sajjad(Senior Vice President), Ayub Brohi (Vice President), Aslam Soomro(General Secretary), Agha Babar(Deputy General Secretary), Muhammad Parial Marri(Joint General Secretary), Waheed Phulpoto(Information Secretary), Hidaytullah Mahar(Treasurer), Farhan Abro(Auditor)and , Javeed Rajojo(Office Secretary) respectively. Also, Rahim Bakhsh Jamali, Abdul Razzaque Brohi, Hazar Khan Chandio, Rasheed Shah, Zulfikar Magsi, Sarang Bapar, Siddique-i-Akbar Arain and Amjad Ali Arain were selected as members of Executive Committee.

On the occasion, newly elected office bearers including Sultan Rind, Rahim Bakhsh Jamali and Waheed Phulpoto vowed that they would take their level best to resolve the problems of the journalists, accordingly. A lot of journalists of Lakhi Ghulam Shah, Khanpur, Garhi Yasin, Dakhan, Madeji and other towns of the Shikarpur district attended the gathering and ensured their full cooperation to newly elected bodies and expressed their full confidence for larger interests of the journalists and hoped that the newly elected body would prove itself.
