LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) has on Tuesday sentenced three accused in 2015 Kasur child sexual abuse scandal to life imprisonment.
The accused, identified as Haseem Ahmed, Waseem Sindhi and Aleem Asif, have been sentenced to life imprisonment, while a fine of Rs300,000 each has also been imposed on the accused.
In August 2015, a local journalist exposed the gang involved in sexual assault and pornography of minors in Kasur. It was also revealed that as many as 280 children had been abused while 400 videos were filmed during 2006 to 2014.
Dozens of accused were arrested after families of victims and others came forward and filed complaints against the gang and its operations.
