People of Pakistan fighting my case, says Nawaz

Author: Yaseen Hashmi

ISLAMABAD: Former premier Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said that the people of Pakistan had been fighting his case by voting for his party candidates in huge numbers.

Talking to media after attending the NAB references filed against him, Nawaz Sharif said that the victory of his party Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) in Lodhran by-election last night was a response by the people of Pakistan to the fake cases registered against him and ‘victimisation in the name of accountability’ that he claims he was being subjected to.

PML-N candidate Syed Iqbal Shah defeated Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen’s son Ali Tareen in NA-154 by-election last night.
