FWO, LWMC ink deal to keep Ring Road southern loop clean

LAHORE: The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) and the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) Monday signed an agreement for cleanliness services on the southern loop of Ring Road.

The MoU signing ceremony was held at LWMC head office in which LWMC MD Bilal Mustafa Syed and Colonel Atif signed the agreement.

GM Operations Asif Iqbal, GM Procurement Waqaruddin Butt, General Manger HR and Admin Farrukh Butt, CFO Mansoor Khalil, Senior Manager Communication Ali Mazhar, Senior Managers Operations Zahid Mushtaq and Murtaza Chaudhary were also present on the occasion.

Under the deal, the LWMC will provide cleanliness services on 22.5km long Ring Road southern loop that will cost Rs 72 million per annum, in three shifts. In the last shift, LWMC will hold mechanical sweeping/washing services on the site.

Speaking on the occasion, LWMC MD said, “Providing the state-of-the-art cleanliness services on Ring Road is one of our preferences and the LWMC will not restrict to just provide operational services but will also conduct multiple awareness raising activities to sensitise citizens to the importance of cleanliness.

Representative from FWO Atif said, “The LWMC is known for providing exceptional cleanliness services in the city and we also expect that it will give special attention to new section of Ring Road.
