Greenback remains flat in value versus domestic unit

KARACHI: Greenback remained flat in value versus domestic unit in interbank and shd value in open market transaction. Following dull demand during intraday trading dollar closed at Rs 110.30 for buying and Rs 110.50 for selling versus rupee in interbank. Pound Sterling remained dull versus rupee by 50 paisas and closed at Rs 152.87 for buying and closed at Rs 153.03 for selling. Euro closed depressed in value versus rupee at Rs 135.52 for buying and at Rs 135.72 for selling in interbank trading. It lost 34 paisas. In kerb market, greenback closed dull in value versus rupee at Rs 110.40 for buying and at Rs 110.60 for selling. It shed 10 paisas. Pound Sterling closed weak in value at Rs 154.50 for buying and at 154.70 for selling. It lost 35 paisas. Euro remained dull and closed at Rs 135.75 for buying and at Rs 135.95 for selling versus rupee. It lost 25 paisas. Treasurers and currency dealers said closure of major currencies versus domestic unit was day’s dull demand by corporate and private sector.
