Fawad Chaudhry appointed PTI information secretary

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has on Monday appointed Fawad Chaudhry as information secretary of the party.

During a party core group meeting headed by chairman Imran Khan, Fawad was appointed information secretary while Murad Saeed was chosen as party spokesperson.

The former PTI spokesperson would also head print, electronic and social media teams of tehreek-e-insaf, it was announced.

It was also decided that PTI would appoint a spokesperson for each province and that the party spokespersons would work under the guidance of the information secretary.

The Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan’s decision to take suo moto notice of extra judicial encounters in Punjab was also lauded during the meeting, while members were also briefed about PTI-led Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP)’s Billion Tree Tsunami project.

Moreover, PTI’s Punjab MNA Shafqat Mehmood was assigned the task to present a report on all anti-corruption cases in the province.
