Pakistani actor Hamza Ali Abbasi isn’t only known for his fab acting skills but also outshining his very own spotlight (and we mean that, in ‘literal’ terms) after voicing ‘unfavourable’ opinions over social media.
Often being targeted by strong personalities in debates on micro-blogging platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, the actor cum Maulvi finds himself in trouble over more than one social media outburst, in one way or the other.
This time around it seems like the actor just crossed the high road with Physicist Dr. Hoodbhoy who happened to share his thoughts on the senseless Valentines Day Ban in Pakistan.
Here’s what Dr. Hoodbhoy posted on his Facebook:
And this is what Mr. Abbasi replied to the physicist:
“So Mr Hoodbhoy, U expect Molvis to teach physics & make rockets? Maybe if Physicists like U focus more on ur work rather than spending all ur time debating with Molvis, maybe U could help launch a rocket into space soon? Btw, Pak is planning to launch a satellite by 2020!”
His tweet caused quite the uproar over the internet and this is how Pakistani journalist, author and cultural critic Nadeem Farooq Paracha trolled Abbasi with his reply:
Even Ali Moeen Nawazish came out on his Facebook to talk about Hamza Ali Abbasi’s tweet against Dr. Hoodbhoy:
“Hamza Ali Abbasi, if this is the level of your intellect then you are a pathetic disgrace.”
People on Twitter jumped on the anti-Abbasi bandwagon as well:
Congratulations Hamza Ali Abbasi, for here is every social media user very sugarcoated-ly calling you a ‘dud’.
