SEHWAN: Two bogies of the Khushal Khan Khattak Express caught fire near Sehwan early Saturday morning; fortunately no loss of life was reported.
According to Pakistan Railway sources, when the train bound for Peshawar from Karachi reached Laal Bagh, bogie number 6 caught fire, which later spread to bogie number 7 as well.
Rescue team and Rangers personnel arrived and evacuated passengers from the affected bogies and controlled the fire. After separating the bogies and shifting passengers to the unaffected bogies the Khushal Khan Khattak Express was sent on its way after an unavoidable delay.
Till the filing of this story Pakistan Railways had not ascertained the cause of the fire but did claim investigations were underway.
