Chaman, Panjgur to compete in PPL Balochistan Football Cup-2017 final

QUETTA: Chaman captain Hayatullah Khan scored the only goal as his team celebrated victory in the first semi-final against Quetta City in the Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) Balochistan Football Cup-2017; while Panjgur won the second semi-final against DFA Quetta and reached the finals.

The jam-packed Ayub Stadium enjoyed back-to-back semi-finals. The tournament played in six divisions of Balochistan, along with the final round in Quetta, brought healthy competition, encompassed by a sense of camaraderie.

Chaman versus Quetta City was ending in a draw, but a moment of magic from Hayatullah won the game for Chaman, and helping them qualify for the final. Hayatullah was declared the man of the match and received the prize from PPL Deputy Managing Director Moin Raza Khan.

Panjgur played a dominating game right from the beginning against DFA Quetta. Both teams scored one goal each in the first half, while in the second half Panjgur’s Shaukat Baloch came with a powerful run from inside his own half that ended with a goal. Panjgur, leading 2-1, gave consistent outstanding performances throughout the tournament. Baloch was named the man of match.

The final will be played on April 2 at the Ayub Stadium, Quetta and will be telecast live on a private channel.
