KARACHI: MQM-Pakistan leader Farooq Sattar during a press outside Election Commission office on Thursday has alleged the PPP of misusing its authority and manipulating results to win PS-114 bye-elections

The Election Commission of Pakistan has with held the notification of Pakistan People’s Party Senator Saeed Ghani’s victory at PS-114, where MQM-P’s leader called a conference in which he alleged that many proofs have been found including the ballot box at Paramount School that shows the vivid evidence of the rigging and manipulation which were the reasons of the outcome of the election.

Sattar said that the practice of misusing of the authority is not new but after 2013 elections, violence was manipulated at least 27 polling stations as a tool to tamper the election results. “The same practice has been used in election.

Many hindrances were created for the voters during the by-elections. We have taken up all the issues in front of ECP,” I am hopeful that justice would not be denied”.

On the other hand, PPP leader, Senator Aajiz Dhamrah, while replying to the allegations leveled by MQM-P said that the opponents are making lame excuses rather than accepting their defeat. “All departments including the Election Commission have declared bye-elections as clean and clear.

Withholding notification for the election results is a shocking act and it also raises questions on the performance of the Election Commission.

The constituency of PS-114 has rejected the ‘stamp mafia’ and all of the Karachiites would also reject them in the upcoming elections of 2018,he concluded.

Withholding notification for the election results is shocking act and it also raises questions on the performance of the Election Commission.
