Villagers blocked National Highway against kidnapping of a girl

KHAIRPUR: Villagers blocked the National Highway near Therhi by pass against the kidnapping of a girl on Saturday. According to details, hundreds of villagers including women of the Doongrani community carrying holy books strongly protested against the kidnapping of a girl Ambreen of village Doongar Khan Doongrani and blocked the National Highway for many hours and burnt tyres due to which traffic remained suspended for three hours from both sides. The villagers talking to newsmen said 19 days ago a girl was kidnapped and Baberloi Police arrested the accused but later the police released him after taking bribes and failed to recover the kidnapped girl. After assurance of Baberloi Police the villagers ended their protest.
