Safety for journalists

Author: Daily Times

Sir: Journalists who are pushing the boundaries and daring to report on real issues are being threatened in Pakistan. From 2000 to 2017, some 60 journalists have been mercilessly killed but reportedly, government has only taken notice of only three.

The government should not only pay funds for these journalists but also provide security the journalist community. The miserable conditions of journalists reflect depressing state of affairs in the country.
