DADU: A large number of inhabitants of Wahi Pandi town of Kachho belt of Taluka Johi staged a demonstration at Dadu-Larkana Indus Highway in Dadu on Tuesday to protest against Wahi Pandhi police for not arresting accused involved in murder case of a villager. They carried banners and raised slogans against Wahi Pandhi sub-inspector Akthar Lashari for not arresting accused involved in murder case of Zahid Rind who was killed in Wahi Pandhi town some 5 days ago on the pretext of Karo-Kari. They were led by brothers of the victim, Zahid Rind, Qumrddin and mother of deceased Zahid Rind, Zulkihan and others relatives of Rind community men, women and children also staged a demonstration. Speaking to protest rally, Qumarddin Rind said that his brother Zaihid rind was killed by his relatives over old enmity matter and in the name of honor killing but police was not ready to arrest accused. He said that Meeran Rind, Laiquat, Jummo and Dital Rind were nominated in FIR but area police had not arrested them despite 5 days were passed. He alleged area police sub-inspector of Wahi Pandhi police station Akthar Lashari was supporting to accused and he was not ready arrest them. He alleged that sub-inspector had bribed from accused and he was demanding bribe from them to arrest accused. The mother of deceased Zahid Rind, Mst Zukaikhan Rind demanded to SSP Dadu Qumar Razza Jiskani and IGP Sindh AD Khawaja to take serious notice against area police as real accused involved in murder case of Zahid Rind would be arrested soon. While, SHO a section police station, Akbar Channa negotiated with protesters, assured them accused would be arrested and action must be taken against area police officers if they were found guilty.
