1965 war hero Air Marshall Azim Daudpota dies at 84

KARACHI: The hero of 1965 war, retired Air Marshall Azim Daudpota who also served as Sindh Governor passed away aged 84 on Monday in Karachi.

Azeem Daudpota joined the Air Force in 1955 and served the country with valour in 1965 war for which he was awarded Sitara-e-Jurrat. He was also awarded with Sitara-e-Imtiaz afterwards.

Daudpota was also the Sindh Governor from 25th October 1999 to 24th May 2000.
