PPP, PML-Q leaders hold meeting at Bilawal House

LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari hosted Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leaders Shujaat Hussain, Pervaiz Elahi and others at Bilawal House on Sunday.

Former prime minister Pervaiz Ashraf, PPP Secretary General Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, peoples party members Faisal Saleh Hayat, Manzoor Wattoo, among others were present during the meeting between the two parties.

During the meeting at PPP co-Chairman’s Lahore residence, matters pertaining to the current political scenario of the country and the upcoming Senate Elections 2018 were discussed.

Earlier today, Pervaiz Elahi announced that PML-Q will cooperate with Pakistan Tehreeke-e-Insaf (PTI) and that the two parties would work together during the senate elections.

The former Punjab chief minister also added, while talking to the media, that an electoral alliance between PPP and the Quaid league was possible since the party had supported peoples party government in the past.

Earlier, the former president Zardari had extended an dinner invitation to the PML-Q leaders.
