Cadet College Hasan Abdal’s founding principal Hugh Catchpole remembered

ISLAMABAD: The 21st death anniversary of founding principal of Cadet College Hasan Abdal Hugh Catchpole was commemorated here on Thursday.

A large number of faculty members and ex-students from PAF Public School Sargodha, RIMC India, APS Abbottabad and Christian Community of CCH attended the ceremony. The participants took part in a walk towards Hugh Catchpoles grave to promote his time-tested values.

A smart contingent of cadets presented a guard of honour, followed by a wreath-laying on behalf of all colleges and the College Christian Community. On this occasion Reverent Emmanuel Lorraine, Vicar at St Thomas Church led the prayers.

After the prayers, College Principal Major General (r) Najeeb Tariq formally welcomed the guests. Moreover, former APS vice principal, General (r) Ehsanul Haq Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (an old student of Hugh Catchpole at PAF Sargodha), Air Chief Marshal (r) Abbas Khattak (on behalf of Abdalian Community) expressed their feelings and paid tribute to late Hugh Catchpole.

In the end, chief guest Brigadier (r) Malik Mukhtar Karim (an old student of Hugh Catchpole at RIMC) elaborated various salient features of the personality of founding principal and paid rich tributes to him.
