Where do you find the Creator?

Author: Saira Azer

Who said you have to look for Allah (SWT) in a mosque, church or synagogue? Just shut your eyes to the world, and open your soul. You will be amazed at how everything will talk to you about its love for the Creator. Every nerve will become alive, because the love of Allah (SWT) will be reverberating in the very air you breathe. It will let you know that you are not the only one capable of doing Zikar.

Become like the sea, flowing selflessly, whilst sustaining life, like the air, without which living isn’t possible. It never asks for recognition, like the tree which gives shade and respite, with no strings attached. It’s only then that you will realise the magnanimity of the Almighty, who forgives on just a whisper, who is present everywhere and knows everything but doesn’t take you to task

All you need to do is open your eyes from within, and lose yourself, lose your vanity, kill your ego, and reflect on your deeds and actions, to see if they are what The Creator envisioned for you. How much are they for the love of Allah and Allah alone? You will be surprised at the answer of how much of the love that is in you, is tainted with self-want, selfish needs, greed, and yet, there is so much to change.

Nobody said that this journey is easy. The journey of love is always uphill and arduous. True love at its best, is painful. But to love selflessly, without want, reciprocation or expectation, you must take a que from nature. Become like the sea, flowing selflessly, whilst sustaining life, like the air, without which living isn’t possible. It never asks for recognition, like the tree which gives shade and respite, with no strings attached. It’s only then that you will realise the magnanimity of Allah SWT, who forgives on just a whisper, who is present everywhere and knows everything but doesn’t take you to task. Instead, he showers you with his blessings, which know no bounds and are bestowed on you constantly.

If you only take a minute, to stop, breathe and reflect, you will realise that who is all about love, forgiveness and mercy, is not looked for, but found. He is found within your heart, your soul and in the very breath you breathe.
