CDA introduces e-filing system for official working

ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has introduced an e-filing system for its official working. The newly introduced e-filing system will be implemented in phases in different directorates of the CDA. The Member Administration, CDA, is heading the project for introduction and implementation of e-filing in the Authority. Member Administration, CDA, Muhammad Yasir Peerzada said that the present administration was focusing on the introduction of a safe, secure, speedy and cost effective administrative system in the CDA. “The e-filing system is the order of the day around the world. We want to be competitive to international trends and techniques,” he said.

The newly introduced e-filing system had been prepared and installed in the CDA by the National Information Technology Board (NITB). The NITB installed system is capable of preparing, moving and the check and balance of files with a reliable security system. In this regard the Administration Directorate of the CDA has issued a letter conveying that in order to introduce e-enabled environment in the Authority an e-office application has been introduced in collaboration with the NITB.

The referred letter further conveys that more forward with the initiative’s preliminary training regarding the application site had already been completed by the employees working in the directorates falling under administrative control of the Member Administration, CDA and most of them have been equipped with required facilities.

Subsequently as a kick off, it has been decided that from Monday April 3, 2017 all new files to be moved to the Member Administration’s office must be initiated via the E-office application. The letter further conveys that any new file sent without e-noting will not be entertained.

The copies of the letter for compliance and information have been forwarded to all the director generals and directors with instruction for strict compliance.

Marghzar Zoo: The Mayor of Islamabad and the Chairman CDA said that “birds and animals at Marghzar Zoo are our guests. We are hosting a rare collection of birds and animals at Marghzar Zoo”.

He added: “It is our duty to provide international standard, state of the art facilities at Marghzar Zoo. Financial, technical and professional resources will be made available to the Zoo”.

These views were expressed by Sheikh Ansar Aziz, while chairing a high-level meeting regarding Marghzar Zoo held at the CDA Headquarters.

Islamabad is the capital of the country which necessitates that the zoo here should be the best in the country. A large number of people visit the zoo every day. The Mayor further said: “Facilities for the visitors should also be world class. People visiting the zoo should get a healthy image of the zoo Administration and the MCI”.

“The upkeep of the birds and animals at Marghzar Zoo should further reflect that they are in safe and compassionate hands,” he added. On this occasion, the meeting was told that best efforts were being made for the proper care of the animals and the birds.

He was informed that up to 31-12-2016 there were 95 mammals, 860 birds and 15 reptiles. The total mortality of animals and birds which occurred at Marghazar Zoo was 15.

He was further informed that during 2016, 18 numbers mammals and 70 birds were also born, while, two (02) males and 05 birds died and 04 birds were born during the first three months of 2017. He was also informed that Marghzar Zoo had earned Rs. 29.218 million in different heads including entry free and wild life composition licence fee during the last three years.

During this period, the meeting informed, the expenditure incurred was supply of animal food, medicines and store material.

The meeting was further told that measures were also being adopted to preserve the wildlife and rich bio-diversity of Margalla.
