Opium and Hashish recovered from a car headed to Peshawar

KHYBER AGENCY: Khasadar forces foiled an attempt of smuggling of narcotics from tribal region to Peshawar by recovering huge cache of hashish and opium from a Peshawar bound vehicle here at Bagyari checkpoint on Friday. Line Officer, Jamrud Tehseenullah Afridi said that the Khasadar during their routine duty, stopped a suspected Suzuki van carrying registration no. (TU-455) for checking. During the search 88 kg hashish and 18 kg opium were recovered, hidden in different compartments of the vehicle. One smuggler identified as Ikramullah s/o Amanullah was arrested and put behind bars in Jamrud for further investigation, the official told.
