Two robbers killed in Okara encounter

OKARA: Two robbers were gunned down in an encounter with police in Okara late Wednesday, officials claimed.

Police said that the encounter took place in Gulshan Mukhtar town when armed robbers opened fire at a police team, in retaliation, two suspected dacoits were killed.

The exchange of fire also left three policemen wounded, including the station house officer (SHO) of Saddar police station.

The wounded personnel and bodies of deceased robbers were shifted to hospital for medical and legal formalities.
