Students of Landi Kotal given domicile certificates free of charge

KHYBER AGENCY: Special drive to provide free domicile certificate to the students of state-run schools was inaugurated here in government high school for boys, Zen Tara, Tehsil Landi Kotal on Wednesday.

In this connection a gathering was organized in the school that was attended by Political Agent, Khyber Agency Khalid Mehmood as chief guest in addition to Assistant Political Agent (APA) Landi Kotal Niaz Muhammad, Tehsildar Shams-ul-Islam, numbers of tribal elders, Principals and Headmasters, teachers and students. Speaking on the occasion chief guest PA, Khalid Mehmood said keeping in view the difficulties being faced by the students and their parents, the administration with collaboration of the education department initiated the scheme to supply free domicile certificates to the students.

He added that in the first phase, it would supply to students of grade 7th to 10th and then the facility would be extended to lower grades. He asked the teachers community not to charge cost of photo from the students as it would be paid by the administration. “Following foot prints of Khyber administration, the government has directed other tribal regions to provide free domicile certificates to the students”, PA maintained. The political top official urged the parents to utilize all energies to decorate their children with ornaments of education.
