LAHORE: The weather turned chilly after the city received light rain on Tuesday. The rain started early in the morning and continued till the evening.
The citizens enjoyed the rainy weather by cooking delicious food items such as pakoras, dehi bhally, samosas and other eatables at offices and homes with family members, friends and colleague.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted that mainly cold and dry weather was expected in most parts of the country in next 24 hours. Cloudy weather was expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan along with fog like conditions in plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during the morning hours.
According to the PMD, continental air prevailed over most parts of the country. A shallow westerly wave was still present over northeastern parts of Punjab, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and adjoining areas. In the city, 2mm rain was recorded at Airport and 1mm at Lahore PBO. The highest temperature was recorded at 16.3 centigrade and the minimum at 7 centigrade along with 82 percent humidity.
