KARACHI: Three people and a parrot were found dead at a men’s salon in Karachi’s North Nazimabad neighborhood on Thursday morning. The deceased had come from Punjab and Interior Sindh for Employment in Karachi.
According to SSP Central Muqaddas Haider, the death of the three men has apparently occurred overnight due to Poisonous Gas from the Power Generator that has been fixed up complexly in room of “The AXE men’s salon” located in block E of the area.
The victims, identified by their first names as Irshad, Jahangir and Ali, were foaming from the mouth and were discovered by their colleagues who had routinely opened the shop in the morning. A parrot caged inside the shop was also found dead, he added.
As initial investigation suggests, the official added, the victims had run the generator before sleeping at night at the shop behind a closed shutter, not realizing that there was no gas exhaust that eventually led to suffocation.
A source was present at the time when bodies were taken to the hospital claimed that the police have tried to hide some facts to protect some one belonging to that Salon because there was a kind of Froth oozing from their mouths. This matter is suspicious source further said.
He also said that the victims had been using the shop for sleeping at night regularly for the last one week. The bodies were shifted to nearby Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for examination after death.
SSP Haider said that the FIR of the incident depends on the post mortem report of the deceased. “The exact cause of death will determine the fate of case but apparently carbon monoxide inhalation by the people seems to be the reason.”
